Cosmetic Bag (Medium)
Size: Approx. 8”(H) X 10”(W)
This is a handmade piece, so slight variations in color, size, and design are to be expected.
Each piece is 100% handmade by artisans in Oaxaca using the traditional backstrap loom—a weaving technique that has been passed down for centuries. To create their work, artisans secure one end of the loom to a fixed point, such as a tree or post, while the other end is tied around their waist with a sash. This age-old method allows them to carefully guide each thread, resulting in textiles that carry both history and artistry in every detail.
Care Instructions:
Because each piece is handmade and often dyed using traditional methods, a little extra care will help preserve its beauty:
Wash gently by hand in cold water, or dry clean if preferred
Use a mild, natural detergent — never chlorine or bleach
Avoid wringing or twisting to protect the fibers and embroidery
Hang to dry in the shade; do not tumble dry
If ironing, use low heat and place a cloth between the iron and fabric
Please note: Natural dyes may release some color during the first few washes — this is a normal characteristic of artisanal textiles.
